Abermals guitarist and singer Christian Späth’s book ‘This Is My Everything’ is out now via Earth Island Books.
The book collects Christian’s memories of playing in punk-adjacent bands from the mid 90s until today, including a plethora of full colour pictures and flyers as well as tour diaries from the early days of the European and South American screamo scenes, sharing stages (and backstage banter) with the likes of Yaphet Kotto, Refused, Yage, Against Me! and many more.
Personal Punk have just reviewed the book, saying:
“Späth has performed a nifty trick with ‘This Is My Everything’. At a scant 180 pages, his is an economical prose, yet one which conveys time-stamped emotions with relatable clarity. Whether describing a shared sense of synchronization, catching the travel bug, or band disintegration, the relative obscurity of these characters isn’t the point. This is an open, honest book about balancing hindsight with youthful instinct and the complexities of playing in a band through the watchful lens of the DIY punk scene.”Read the full review here: https://personalpunk.wordpress.com/2024/02/13/this-is-my-everything-by-christian-spath-earth-island-books/
